Hourly Research Information

Let Leo Look  will research your family history by the hour. This is an excellent option for those who want a short-term research project to find a specific piece of information, such as a search for a birthplace, a marriage record, or a will. 

For larger research projects, it is strongly suggested that prior to commencing research activities a spending ceiling be mutually agreed upon.  In these cases, I suggest setting "checkpoints" to review project progress and current project costs, in order to determine the feasibility of the client wishing to continue. 

How it works:

1. Complete the Request Form. Print it on your computer and mail it to Let Leo Look   with a check or money order.

2. I then search the records to find the information you request.

3. I  keep a log of all sources searched to find the information you request.

4. I make a photocopy, or extract* ,  of all information found.

5. The information found is mailed to you.

6. Research will be complete and sent to you within eight weeks.

7. Project costs are payable in full before the completed project is mailed.

 

FEES:  My hourly research rate is $25 an hour,  with a two hour minimum retainer + expenses.  Expenses may include: postage, copies, travel @ $0.35 per mile and research facility fees (when applicable), for examples.  I do not charge any extra amount for project expenses, all amounts are at cost, and itemized. 

NOTE:  If you are unsure of what your research request may cost, you may send in the Request Form  for evaluation and we will determine the cost and let you know by email. You can then determine what course of action you wish to take.

Payment is made in advance of research by use of  PAYPAL   or money order.
